With a view to benchmark the Professionals from Business Communications, PR & Business Journalism, Academicians, PR from Governmental Agencies and PR Consultants, ABCI has launched an Accreditation Programme whereby top professionals, purely on merit will be awarded "Fellow of the Brain Trust of ABCI". Veteran PR Guru Dr. Narasimha Reddi was requested to be the Chairman of the Accreditation Council of ABCI. The formal ceremony took place on Friday, 20th April, 2007 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Mumbai. Mr. Kishor Rangnekar, Chairman Saraswat Bank, was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
It was for the First Time in India that an Accreditation Programme took place and ABCI is the one to launch it. It was a gathering of National level Business Communicators consisting business Communicators, Professionals and Business Journalists and members of the Governmental Agencies and Academicians. The Fellowship contains a Gold Medal and a Certificate.

Talking on this occasion, Mr. Sanjay Singh expressed need for such benchmarking in the Communications fraternity, while Dr. Banik appreciated the steps taken by ABCI for bringing professionalism in the PR & Communications. Dr. Reddi thanked ABCI for appointing him as the Chairman of the Accreditation Council.
Mr. Yogesh Joshi, President, ABCI explained as to why ABCI has taken an initiative for Accreditation in India. Mr. Ajit Morye, Secretary, ABCI proposed vote of thanks.
Following senior practictioners have been conferred with Fellowship on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of ABCI awards, on Thursday, 11th November 2010, at the Crystal Room, Hotel Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai at the hands of Mr. Arun Kelkar, Chariman, Hexagon Nutrition Ltd.
